He has also been involved in local politics for many years, serving on the Wall Township Planning Board and the Wall Township Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Acerra is running on a platform of fiscal responsibility and economic growth. He believes that New Jersey’s high taxes and regulations are driving businesses and residents out of the state, and he wants to work to make New Jersey more business-friendly. He also wants to focus on reducing government waste and improving infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and public transportation.
The second candidate is Michael Amoroso, a former Howell Township mayor and current member of the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders. Amoroso has a background in law enforcement, having served as a police officer in Howell Township for over 20 years. He has also been involved in local politics for many years, serving on the Howell Township Council and as mayor from 2010 to 2011.
Amoroso is running on a platform of public safety and education. He believes that New Jersey needs to do more to support law enforcement and keep communities safe. He also wants to focus on improving education, including expanding school choice options and increasing funding for vocational and technical education.
Both Acerra and Amoroso have expressed their commitment to working together to represent the interests of LD-11 residents in Trenton.
