PHILADELPHIA – A truck rumbled into the parking lot at McDonalds.
A bread truck maybe.
Or burger patties.
Early morning delivery.
Then the truck turned and backed into a space, and people on the sidewalk looked at the flashing image on the side. It was a big colorful picture of Bobby Kennedy, Jr., standing there with Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president. “JOIN KENNEDY. Vote for Donald Trump this November.”
JOIN Kennedy at a distance actually looks like “John Kennedy.”
Where’s Lloyd Bentsen when you need him, to tell him that Junior’s no Jack?
“Worst campaign I ever seen,” someone muttered, watching the driver climb down from the cab and head into the fast-food restaurant.
“That’s their idea of GOTV?” the observer added.
“Pathetic,” he grunted.”

The Trump campaign truck recently arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as part of the ongoing efforts to rally support for President Donald Trump’s re-election bid. However, the arrival of the truck has been met with criticism from various quarters, with many questioning the motives behind its presence in the city.
The truck, adorned with pro-Trump slogans and imagery, has been driving around Philadelphia, making stops at various locations to engage with supporters and promote the President’s agenda. While some Trump supporters have welcomed the truck as a show of solidarity and a way to energize the base, others have expressed concerns about its impact on the already tense political climate in the city.
Critics argue that the presence of the Trump campaign truck in Philadelphia is a deliberate provocation designed to stoke division and incite conflict. They point to the recent protests and civil unrest in the city as evidence of the heightened tensions surrounding the upcoming election. Some have also raised concerns about the potential for violence or confrontations between Trump supporters and opponents.
In response to the criticism, the Trump campaign has defended the presence of the truck in Philadelphia, stating that it is simply a means of reaching out to voters and spreading the President’s message. They argue that all Americans have the right to express their political views and that the truck is a legitimate form of political expression.
Despite the controversy surrounding the Trump campaign truck, it is clear that the upcoming election is generating strong emotions on both sides of the political spectrum. As November approaches, it is likely that we will continue to see heated debates and passionate displays of support for both President Trump and his opponent, Joe Biden. Only time will tell how these competing forces will ultimately shape the outcome of the election.
