The Fulop for Governor campaign is announcing three more Assembly candidates who will run alongside Steven Fulop in the June Primary Election, bringing the total of affiliated candidates across the state to ten. Lisa Bonanno will run in the 2nd Legislative District and she will be joined by Rebecca Holloway and Kevin Ryan who will run in the 6th Legislative District.
District 2
Lisa Bonanno has been advocating for democracy with local organizations since 2016. She has been a registered nurse for 33 years, and for the last 13 years she has been providing compassionate care for patients in their homes. Lisa moved to Linwood during the COVID-19 pandemic and immediately became involved in her new community. She was elected to the Linwood Board of Education in 2021 and is an active member of the Linwood Democratic Club. A mother of five, Lisa is running for State Assembly in the 2nd Legislative District covering parts of Atlantic County.
“I’m so excited to join this movement and give Atlantic County Democrats a real choice when they vote for who will represent their interests in the State Assembly next year,” said Bonanno. “The kind of grassroots energy we are seeing in our party right now is unprecedented and I believe that more voter choice will lead to even greater engagement and participation in our electoral process.”
District 6
A lifelong Camden County resident, graduate of Rutgers Camden Honors College, successful marketing executive and small business owner, Rebecca Holloway is running for State Assembly in the 6th Legislative District covering parts of Burlington and Camden counties. Prior to launching her own marketing firm in 2018, Rebecca worked in executive leadership positions in several industries managing large teams and handling multimillion dollar projects. Rebecca is a former Board of Education trustee and candidate for Camden County Clerk and County Commissioner who took on the Norcross political machine as an active member of the South Jersey Progressive Democrats. She is a mom of three teenagers and lives in Clementon.
“I’m thrilled to run for State Assembly alongside a candidate like Steven Fulop who is not afraid to stand up to powerful interests and fight for progress, transparency and progressive values,” Holloway said.
Kevin Ryan is a highly accomplished strategic analytics and data executive with over 20 years of experience in the Defense, Media, and Healthcare industries. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks Kevin dedicated himself to public service, working as a contractor for several critical federal government departments including the Joint Warfare Analysis Center, the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, and the Army Asymmetric Warfare Group. His extensive work in national security has equipped him with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in keeping our nation safe, which he now aims to apply in his role in the State Assembly. A resident of Voorhees, Kevin is married with three sons. He actively contributes to his community by volunteering as a travel team soccer coach and serving on the Board of Directors for the Voorhees Soccer Association.
“I believe strongly in the values of open government, transparency, and accountability, and I’m running for State Assembly to fight for these principles in Trenton,” said Ryan. “My experience in national security has taught me the importance of vigilance and dedication, qualities I will bring to serving the people of District 6. I am proud to join the excellent group of candidates that Mayor Fulop is assembling, and together, we will tackle the difficult challenges facing our state and find solutions that improve the lives of all New Jerseyans.”
Bonanno (LD-2), Holloway (LD-6) and Ryan (LD-6) join Brian K. Everett (LD-4), Rashan Prailow (LD-5), Eddie Freeman III (LD-8) Barbara McCann Stamato (LD-31), John Allen (LD-32), Jessica Ramirez (LD-32) and Julio Marenco (LD-33) in aligning with Mayor Fulop in the 2025 Primary Election.
“Lisa, Rebecca and Kevin all fit perfectly with the kind of candidates our campaign wants to support — they believe in open government, accountability to the voters and a more responsive and progressive state legislature that takes bold action to address the challenges facing our state,” said Mayor Fulop. “We’re going to continue building a statewide coalition of grassroots leaders who are ready to move New Jersey forward.”
