Rebecca Schwartz is currently the Deputy Chief of Staff for New Jersey’s 38th Legislative District of Senator Joe Lagana, Assemblywoman Lisa Swain, and Assemblyman Chris Tully. From 2019 through September 2022, she worked as a Senior Aide to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy in the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs, assisting mayors, county-level officials, and members of Congress throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, she has served as a legislative advisor to then-Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Tim Eustace, and Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle. On the campaign side, Schwartz is an alumna of the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee, Hillary for America, and the Monmouth County Democrats.
“As the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor and the daughter of teachers, I was taught at an early age to be civically minded and active in the process to elect our community leaders,” said Schwartz. “Five years after joining the board, it is a privilege to serve Millennials for NJ as Chair and continue to support young current and future elected officials of New Jersey.”
Millennials for NJ, founded in 2019, is a Democratic organization which helps elect Millennial candidates to office. Since 2019, Millennials for NJ has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and has helped elect dozens of candidates.
