Military Veteran and Hunter Praises Kamala Harris for Brilliance and Dignity

Assemblyman Joe Danielsen (D-17) said he believes Kamala Harris will win, especially after the meltdown of hatred and racism on display at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally last night.

The proud Army veteran, hunter, and gun owner said he is thrilled by Harris as a candidate, and hopes undecided voters see the stark contrast between her and the publicly suffering TV personality.

That said, Danielsen said he wants Democrats to learn two things from this election. He wants them to improve on two fronts: the southern border and treatment of veterans.

“No one I know wants an unsecured border,” said the Franklin Township Democrat.

In addition, neither party in his judgment take seriously the real troubles of military veterans who come back to civilian life without adequate professional opportunity, healthcare, or federal compensation.

He concedes that Democrats didn’t do well there, in those two areas.

But his party did well on everything else, including the furnishing of an excellent presidential candidate, the assemblyman argued.

“First of all, she’s brilliant. She’s dignified. She’s professional. Unlike her opponent, she doesn’t fill her rhetoric with hate, insults and baseless accusations,” Danielsen said. “Even if you don’t like her you have to like her better than a guy who is a cheater, a liar, and who can’t answer a question without expressing hatred. I think the Democratic Party had a hundred great candidates to be president. Unfortunately, Vice President Harris only to hit the ground running, but look at her. She’s more than holding it together.”

Given what he describes as the low and base campaign of Trump and the tight ongoing contest in the lead-up to Nov. 5th., Danielsen said he would like to see former President George W. Bush come out with an endorsement of Harris. “He would never insult his opponent like this, he would object to policy, but not insult the opponent,” the assemblyman added.
