Today, the New Jersey Republican State Committee announced the selection of Kennith Gonzalez as its new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2025, succeeding Theresa Velardi who has served in the role for nearly two years.
A familiar face within the Party, Kennith Gonzalez was a key part of the NJGOP team last election cycle, and brings years of experience in New Jersey Republican politics.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Kennith Gonzalez step into the role of Executive Director,” said NJGOP Chairman Bob Hugin. “Kenny is a young and intelligent operative with a strong work ethic and great political instinct. He has already made a difference in our party over the years, particularly by building meaningful relationships with our state’s Hispanic community, a key group which President Trump helped bring into the Republican fold.
“Kenny understands the importance of continuing our positive momentum in New Jersey, and we’re confident he will play a crucial role in the NJGOP’s 2025 victories.”

Theresa was instrumental in organizing our New Jersey delegation to the Republican National Convention to nominate President Trump, and she oversaw our State Party efforts that helped deliver the best performance for a Republican presidential candidate in this state since 1992.”
