Steve Adubato sits down with Colonel Jeff Cantor, Ret. US Army, CEO of the NJ State Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and Director of Product Development & Partnerships of MA Salute at Braven Health, to examine how the NJ State Veterans Chamber of Commerce helps provide economic, educational, and networking opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs.
Adubato asks Colonel Cantor about his passion for helping veterans. The Colonel says, “As a leader in the military, you never really stop providing a way forward for your troops, so in this role in this capacity, I continue to lead to try and help others establish themselves and create a bigger economic piece of the pie. For the veteran community and military spouses, it’s really important. I think it’s vital we get the state to enforce the set-aside laws that have been in place since 2015, to provide a way forward for the veteran community.”
In a recent interview with Insider NJ, Steve Adubato sat down with Colonel Jeff Cantor to discuss effective support strategies for New Jersey’s veteran community. As a retired Army Colonel and the founder of the New Jersey Veterans Network, Cantor has dedicated his life to advocating for and supporting veterans in the state.
During the interview, Cantor emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive support services for veterans as they transition back to civilian life. He highlighted the challenges that many veterans face, including finding employment, accessing healthcare, and dealing with mental health issues such as PTSD.
One of the key strategies that Cantor discussed was the importance of building strong partnerships between government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses to provide a holistic support network for veterans. By working together, these organizations can ensure that veterans have access to the resources and services they need to successfully reintegrate into society.
Cantor also stressed the importance of creating a supportive community for veterans, where they can connect with others who have shared experiences and understand the challenges they face. This sense of camaraderie can be crucial in helping veterans feel supported and valued as they navigate the transition back to civilian life.
In addition to these strategies, Cantor highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the issues facing veterans and advocating for policies that support their needs. By educating the public and policymakers about the challenges that veterans face, we can work towards creating a more supportive and inclusive society for those who have served our country.
Overall, Cantor’s insights provide valuable guidance on how we can better support New Jersey’s veteran community. By working together and advocating for policies that prioritize the needs of veterans, we can ensure that those who have served our country receive the support and respect they deserve.
