Veteran Trenton insider and community activist Jeannine LaRue for the first time later today will
officially occupy the bricks and mortar locale of her successful podcast, “LaRueList Cafe, Let’s Talk About it.”
“This concept actually started pre-COVID when my late partner said to me that we should refine ‘The LaRueList Report,’ which was a weekly report we put out every Friday by noon,” LaRue told InsiderNJ. “I had 20k contacts in my phone and my partner said we should take this to a different level.” COVID interfered with the envisioned rollout of the cafe at the downtown Trenton Starbucks, and LaRue subsequently adjusted to a virtual presence.
Now, she’s fulfilling a dream and going back to the original concept – same show, with an actual locale and dedicated metro-Trenton community footprint. At the official studio tour this evening at the Social Profit Center, 1 N. Johnston Avenue in Hamilton, LaRue will welcome Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way, along with other elected officials, community leaders, educators, students, and supporters.
Way is scheduled to speak at 5:45 p.m. in the refurbished mill, where local students will receive stipends to help produce the podcast, videoed live on posted on social media. More details about future shows, guests, and a set schedule in the days ahead.
