First Gentleman hopeful Doug Emhoff is scheduled to be the headliner at a Harris Victory Fund Campaign event next Saturday, Oct. 5th in Red Bank with Governor Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy, and Jersey diehard rock star Jon Bon Jovi – a friend and neighbor of the Murphys’.
In his first prime time address to the nation in support of his wife Kamala Harris, Emhoff gave a shout-out to New Jersey from the stage of the Democratic National Convention in August.
“Where’s New Jersey?” Emhoff asked, to applause from the New Jersey Delegation.
Imhoff has ties to the Garden State. Before his father moved the Imhoff Family to California, the future entertainment lawyer and husband of Kamala Harris grew up in Matawan and Old Bridge Township. He went to Cedar Ridge High School and attended Temple Shalom, a Reform synagogue in Aberdeen.
