The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) announces the promotion of Hilary Chebra as the organization’s director of government affairs effective immediately. In this elevated role, Chebra will continue to serve as the CCSNJ’s primary lobbyist in Trenton and is responsible for the planning and execution of the CCSNJ’s policy-related events, as well as public policy research reports focused on the South Jersey business community. Chebra will continue to report to Christina M. Renna, president & CEO, in her new capacity.
“Throughout her tenure at the CCSNJ, Hilary has taken her vast public sector experience and applied it successfully to assist our members, while never missing an opportunity to embrace and advocate for the issues of import to South Jersey’s private sector. This promotion is beyond well-deserved, and we are proud to have Hilary serving in a more prominent policy role with the CCSNJ,” stated Ms. Renna.

Prior to joining the CCSNJ in 2020, Ms. Chebra served as the cabinet liaison in the Office of Governor Phil Murphy, as well as chief of staff to Senator Troy Singleton of the Seventh Legislative District.
Ms. Chebra holds her Bachelor of Science in political science, with a concentration in international studies, from Rowan University. She currently resides in Bordentown, NJ.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Chebra is also actively involved in the community, serving on various boards and committees that work to improve the quality of life for residents in Southern New Jersey. Her dedication to making a positive impact on the region is evident in everything she does, and her promotion to Director of Government Affairs is well-deserved.
